Examples of students who would benefit from Educational Therapy are:

  • a student with diagnosed or undiagnosed learning difficulties which are hampering achievement in the classroom setting.
  • a student with attention deficits who cannot maintain concentration.
  • a student who needs self-esteem building, or increased motivation.
  • a student with dyslexia who nees specialized instruction from tutors trained in the Orton/Wilson methodology.
  • a student who nees improvement with concentration, memory and time management.

ESGE has empowered students since 1988!  Relationships between tutors and students are strong and long lasting.  The below letter is an example of how Educational Therapy can help students achieve in both academic gains and self esteem!

Dear Mrs. Jan,

I just want to thank you for everything you have done for me over the last ten years.  You have helped me learn how to spell and read as well as assisted me with my homework, studying for tests, quizzes, write papers, and with worksheets.  I remember when I started with the tutoring sessions, I didn’t even know how to hold a pencil or pen the right way, but you taught me the correct way and I have written that way ever since.  You are the best tutor that a student could ask for.  You have been very patient with me and I really appreciate that.  Also, you have never forgotten my birthday!  Everything that you have taught me I will use when I go away to college this fall, as well as for the rest of my life.  I am very lucky to have had a tutor as knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated to their job and to helping their students as much as you.  I could not have gotten accepted to Southern without your help and guidance.  So once again, thank you for everything.  We should keep in touch throughout the summer and into the future.

Sincerely,

“Your college bound student”
